Video: Jay Talks How To Train Your Dragon 2
| Listed Under: Featured, Film, Interviews, Jay, Video
Sorry I’m a bit late with this (I have one more update to do for you guys today, which I’m also late with) but things are crazy here as always, I’m thinking about hiring henchmen to help me out, lol!
You’ve probably been hearing this for awhile, I know I have, but the high and mighties (Chris Saunders and Dean DeBlois) at the How To Train Your Dragon franchise have been talking about it for awhile, and now it’s Jay’s turn to chime in on HTTYD 2 not being a sequel, but a second chapter:
“I’m going to be starting work on it this year, yeah,” Baruchel confirmed to MTV News during the “Freaks and Geeks” / “Undeclared” Reunion at the Paley Center in Los Angeles last weekend. He added that he knows the sequel’s story, too, as he’s already seen the script: “Yes I do. I know everything about it. I read it last week!”

Not only did Jay head out to an actual event yesterday (they’re getting rarer these days, aren’t they?) when he showed as announced at the 31rst Genie Awards to support his amazing film The Trotsky, but the film also walked away with two Genies!
Only one other film even registered a ripple, with Jacob Tierney’s The Trotsky sneaking into the mix with two Genies. One was for Tierney’s best original screenplay and one for the film’s featured song, Already Gone. The other 19 feature films which had earned at least one nomination were long gone when it was all over.

News: Jay and Alison Pill To Wed?
| Listed Under: Featured, Interviews, Jay, News
I have no idea if this is true (sorry, I’ve been so busy lately!) but according to Just Jared Jay is engaged to adorable, talented and gorgeous Scott Pilgrim actress Alison Pill in September of 2012:
“[Alison] came to Montreal for Christmas and my gift to her was…I was going to give her a ring and I wasn’t sure, I wasn’t ready in my heart to say what it was, but it was just a ring for now – happened to be a 180 year old Victorian wedding band from England!” Jay said.
Jay and Alison, 25, plan to marry in September of 2012.
If anyone can confirm this (a link to the ET Canada video would be much appreciated!), please let me know via the comments because currently the news submitter isn’t working right. If it is true, congratulations to both of them, JBF wishes them all the happiness in the world!

News: How to Train Your Dragon Sequel Details
February 10, 2011 | Listed Under: Featured, Film, News
I’ve posted updates about this recently, and I’m sure everyone’s as excited as I am to hear that How To Train Your Dragon will only be the first in a Viking trilogy, but even better! ComingSoon.net has some insight into the next film from Dean DeBlois (who co-directed with Chris Sanders, both of these talented men are the genius force behind Lilo & Stitch) and producer Bonnie Arnold.
“As we head into this one,” he explains, “the world expands. Everything is much bigger with still the heartfelt qualities that made the first one resonate so much with audiences. There are no longer restrictions to this tiny island in the North Sea. They have the entire Northern hemisphere within their grasp.”
They expect the film to arrive sometime in 2013 – can’t wait!
