VERY cool news! According to CBC.ca’s website, Jay will be given a much deserved (can we get this guy an Oscar, too, please?) ACTRA in September! Here’s what they have to say:

He’ll be honoured Sept. 11 at the annual awards ceremony for the Montreal branch of ACTRA, the actors’ union.

Baruchel, 28, had early roles in Hollywood fare such as The Rules of Attraction and Million Dollar Baby, but still lives and works in Montreal.

He is working again in Montreal, with The Trotsky director Jacob Tierney on the film Good Neighbours, about a killer in the Montreal neighbourhood of Notre Dame de Grace.
